Fundraiser in support of Jim Pattison Children's Hospital
I want to thank Mark Schendel and Yorkton Minor Hockey for asking me to be a part of their free two-day hockey school available to all YMH novice hockey players throughout Yorkton and area. This mini event was made possible and sponsored by Grain Miller's - who donated $2000. Due to the generosity of Grain Millers, it was important to me to pay it forward and donate the entire $2000 to the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation. I couldn't have ran the camp without the help of the Yorkton Hyundai Terriers, who were a huge help on the ice. YMH also collected donations from parents totalling $290.55 which went directly to Brayden Ottenbreit's Close Cuts for Cancer. The Terriers also provided tickets for the novice players to attend their Pink the Rink night. I was happy to be part of this great event and look forward to more opportunities in the future.

2019 fundraiser for the Stollery children's hospital
We are so amazed by the support we received from our Yorkton and area hockey community when organizing the 2019 SHP Hockey Fundraiser for the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation! The success of this event is largely due to your generosity and participation. It was our goal to raise awareness about craniosynostosis and the Stollery Children’s Hospital after our daughter, Bria, was diagnosed as an infant and at 8-weeks-old required Dr. Mehta, a neurosurgeon at the Stollery Children’s Hospital to surgically remove a portion of her skull. Now, over 20 trips to Edmonton and the Stollery Children's Hospital later; our daughter is happy, healthy, and beautiful!
This fundraiser was a way for us to honour the generosity of those at home and in Edmonton that helped us throughout our journey. We are so proud to announce the success of these efforts with a final total donated to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation of $9140.66. Our daughter was very proud to be presented with a cheque in this amount during our most recent follow-up with her neurosurgeon at the Stollery.
